Going in the year with new socks...

Me and my boyfriend were having a friendly discussion about the fact that one should always start the year in new socks and new underwear, as well as new bedsheets. Accoring to him this is tradition, he, however, still couldn't give me a clear description or answer to what would happen if you didn't wear everything new or why you should. However it's not that I'm disagreeing with him about buying new things for new years eve, I just wanted to know why, but okay drifting off..
But I guess I'm also gonna keep up with the tradition, I now actually have a valid reason for buying new clothes (yay). And as I was looking for socks, I actually felt kind of proud when I bought it, because I never buy socks for some reason. Btw, I never knew socks could be so much fun to buy and that there are so many different kinds of socks, so also for the occassion a couple of pictures of my favourite socks and hoisiery (I see that as socks as well, yet cuter).

Cinderella shoes

I'm normally more of the boots and high heeled booties, but who can resist cinderella shoes and especially cinderella shoes that aren't made of glass but of comfortable rubber, and ones from Vivienne Westwood for Melissa.
I think I will buy these, but not entirely sure when to wear them with the bad weather that remains in the Netherlands.

Crazy hair...

When my hair grows long again and that is gonna take some time, considering my hair is way short, so probably in 2 years or so when I have the right length, I may consider shaving the side of my head, yet not as extreme as cassie, cause that was/is just too much. Or perhaps just shave streaks like the amazing Sofia Boutella.

In all sincerity I can say that this movie completely surprised me, at first I thought it was going to be the lamest movie ever, a waste of a million dollar investment, but it is totally the opposite. I went to this movie with no expectations and it turned out I absolutely loved this film. Naturally I watched it in Imax 3D and it is totally worth the extra money.
Loved the symbolisms, metaphores and hidden messages and anyone who claims this movie is racist because a white man (yet in a darker body) is leading this whole show can bite me, because I understand that if you want to captivate your audience, you need to make them feel as if it is happening to them and give them that whole thrilling adventure.

Extravagant & Bold: 'Valentino Handbags'

These bags are the epitomy of luxury, they're bold in colour and design, and not to mention the pricetags. Nevertheless, I can't wait to own one myself, I mean look at them, they are the shiny candywrapper of handbags and I mean that in a good sense.

Meisa Kuroki: Best of both worlds

I may not be a fan of her music, it's a little too simple most of the times, yet this song is really growing one me. Her moves, because of the fast forward editing makes her look like she invented popping, so that's cool and her voice does sound good. But anyway, what really amazed me, is that she's half Brazilian half Japanese, talk about having the best of two worlds. And as you can see, she's gorgeous and tall, so very modelesque, possibly my new favourite it-girl.

The princess of NY: 'Ivanka Trump'

People may or may not agree with me, but I truly think if New York were a kingdom, Donald Trump would be the king and naturally Ivanka being his daughter, she would be the princess. But not only because of genes would she be the hypothetical princess, but also because of her looks, I mean honestly if poets wrote about gorgeous busty women with long blond hair, they probably saw Ivanka Trump. She has the looks of a model, has brains and uses it, and she has the last name Trump: the girl's got it all...

I dunno, I just like her and I also like her style, she could easily be as trampy as Paris Hilton or dress like a pornstar, but instead she has a very sophisticated and chic style. Me likey.
